6:30 Kristen called meeting to order
Mr Grambow: - a few words about an upcoming Respect Summit
Treasurer Report: – Letter read to entire parent group regarding missing funds
*Announced Treasurer Nicole Haugen resigned
*Announced Secretary Catherine Cameron resigned
*Kristen Pate Johnson made a motion to replace resigned treasurer with Anne Kalsow,
Second by April Simmons
*Kristin Pate Johnson made a motion to replace resigned secretary with April Simmons, Second by Jessica Bratsch
Old Business:
Family Movie Night –January date canceled due to poor weather conditions
Rescheduled for February 11, 2011
November Book Fair - Invoice still not paid , waiting for funds in account
February Book Fair on hold until outstanding invoice is resolved
Spirit Wear – Catherine Cameron is no longer interested in participating.
Discussed possibility of selling spirit wear for a fund raiser.
American Heart Association – Catherine Cameron is no longer interested in
coordinating this event
IN NEED OF NEW CHAIR PERSON TO HEAD UP THIS EVENT – end of May
New Business:
Spring Art Show – Genie Castro has a Hawaiian Vibe them for this year’s show
to be held on April 8th. She is getting ready to send out artist forms and starting to coordinate parents for classroom projects.
Teacher Buffets – Dawn Lane spoke about the buffets coming up during
conferences on February 24th. The plan is to have a lasagna dinner. Kristen Johnson volunteered to provide bread and lemonade. Dawn will also ask volunteers for lasagnas, salads and desserts.
Talent Show – coming April 15 or 22 watch for further info
PARENT GROUP BOARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR. We strongly encourage you to volunteer your strengths to help enrich our school at Willow River.
Teacher Requests:
Mrs. Cameron requested $300 for medals for a fun run she is having in May
